Terms of Service

Effective: 2026-04-19. This is a template — have it reviewed by counsel before launch.

1. Acceptance

By accessing AI Typing Code (“Service”) you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Accounts

• Minimum age: 13 (US) / 16 (EEA, unless parental consent).
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• One person per account; sharing Pro accounts is prohibited.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

• Pro plans bill monthly or annually via Stripe.
• Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. Cancel anytime from the billing portal.
• Tax is calculated by Stripe Tax and added at checkout.
• Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service or its AI endpoints.
• Use automated input (macros, bots) to post scores to leaderboards or tournaments.
• Upload content that is illegal, infringing, or violates third-party rights.
• Share another person’s personal data without consent.

5. User Content & License

You retain ownership of code you paste. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, and use it solely to deliver and improve the Service (including AI analysis). GitHub-sourced exercises remain under their original licenses.

6. AI Output Disclaimer

AI-generated coaching, reports, and explanations are produced by third-party models and may be inaccurate. Do not rely on them for production decisions.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, excluding user content, is owned by AI Typing Code, Inc. and protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “AS IS” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, subject to any statutory rights you have as a consumer.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law (e.g. under UK / EU consumer-protection law).

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction stated on our company registration. For consumers in the EEA, UK, or other jurisdictions granting mandatory consumer rights, nothing here overrides those rights and you may bring proceedings in your country of residence.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app at least 14 days in advance.
